The Ladies of the Camellias None
A fun read. Divalicous. Very much an actor's play. I always find plays about theatre people funny but I wonder if they are half as funny to the average reader. Anyway, there is enough slapstick and basic human nature stuff to be entertaining to a large audience. I was also happily surprised to find that the action centers around two different productions of Dumas Fis' Lady of the Camellias so reading the original was helpful after all. This is the stage play version of the classic by Alexander Dumas. Quite amusing, and entertaining to watch, with witty characters and a distinct 19th century comedic flavor. Still, of course, not a substitute for reading the original book, but if you have the chance to see it performed, I'd recommend it as a fun evening.
