OMG!!!!There's another book of the Malory-Anderson Family Series. I have been waiting for years for a book about Anthony and James' daughters and we finally have it. I mean we have Judith's story.Although I feel sad because their older already. It seems just like yesterday I was reading the first 10 books of the series and now it's their children's story. Despite that, I'm looking forward to all future Malory-Anderson Family books.Counting the days till June 10 2014.

3.5 stars. Love Johanna Lyndsey stories as she was one of the first to make me fall in love with romance. This story gave me the special mix she usually delivers but I felt it didn't give the MCs, Nathan and Judith, enough time together with meaningful interactions by which to grow their love. This was largely the basis for my rating. Their individual personalities were fleshed out well. The few interactions they had were sweet, especially when at the outlook post. The plot was good with action [...]

After the disappointment of the last several Johanna Lindsey books, I was very hesitant to read this one, despite it being about my favorite family series ever. Even the last three Malory novels were not that great, which almost made me think that perhaps Johanna Lindsey wasn’t writing them, and had employed a ghost writer instead.I’m delighted to admit I might be wrong. Stormy Persuasion reminded me why I fell in love with the Malory family and why I’ve been reading Johanna Lindsey novels [...]

I haven't read an historic romance in a few years. before I discovered contemporary romance, historical was all I read. I loved it but I must say it has since changed for me. I found this book extremely long and at times boring. you need to read quite a few chapters before anything happens in this book.

Originally Reviewed For: Bodice Rippers, Femme Fatales and FantasyTHE. MALLORYS. ARE. BACK!!!In her 11th Mallory Series Novel, author Joanna Lindsey reclaims her status as one of the top romance writers. I will admit I haven't been thrilled with her past few books even when they were Mallory stories. But Stormy Persuasion brings back the days of James and the High Seas. Plenty of family interaction but not necessarily all of them. They didn't work with the story and fortunately for us, Ms. Linds [...]

I have to say, this one was not the best from the series. It's just an okay read, and even James, can't pursued me to give more star.I promised my friends to write my review in Bahasa, but I'm not in the right mood. I'm in the mood of ranting. So, I better hold back, and I'll write it someday.

I definitely missed the Malorys!!! :)And it was delight to read about them again. This book serves as a sort of reboot in a series, where it definitely shows that the upcoming books will be about the second generation Malorys.Unfortunately, I found it tiring, messy and the plot was a bit loose. There were so many characters in the first few chapters that honestly, I was confused who is who. I guess, it was supposed to re introduce us to the characters we loved but mentioning almost all of them w [...]

*I gave this audiobook a C for the Story and A for the narration at AudioGals*Narrated by Laural MerlingtonWhen I first started reading romances, Johanna Lindsey was one of my “go to” authors. It had been quite a while, however, since I had experienced a Lindsey romance, so I jumped at the chance to review this one. Unfortunately, Stormy Persuasion did not do my memory justice. Although it definitely fits the mold of the old style historical romance, with a long drawn out chase between a rel [...]

I was excited to read this, as I am a fan of the Malory family, but I thought that Johanna Lindsey relied too much on the colorful Malory family to make this story interesting. If I take out Jack and James and Tony, there really wasn't much interesting about Judith and Nathan. It was likeable enough, which is why I gave it three stars, but I was hoping to be introduced to a new cast of zany, loveable Malorys, and I wasn't, but for Jack. I'm very much looking forward to seeing how James Malory ta [...]

This book suffers greatly from being in the Malory series. Way, way too much of the focus is on the rest of the family so that Judith and Nathan are relegated to boring secondary characters in their own story. In the beginning, tons of time is spent introducing all the family members to the reader, far too many characters for anyone new to the series to even have a hope of remembering. All throughout the book Jacqueline, James and Anthony get almost as much screen time as our happy couple. And i [...]

I was totally underwhelmed by Stormy Persuasion. I never connected with any of the characters or the storyline itself. None of the characters seemed real to me, for instance, Judith was too sweet, Nathan was the same stereotypical hero that I have seen in everyone of Lindsey's books. The only character I did like was Jack (Jacqueline) because she was outspoken. I never felt invested in the story, truthfully looked forward to the ending. Without giving the ending away I have to say even the clima [...]

Its like a family reunion! We get to revisit old favorites and see the children all grown up. The Malory family is still hot and still amazing. No matter which story you read, its like coming home. Johanna Lindsey did an amazing job of telling the tale of Jack and Judith Malory. They are still best friends and have grown into beautiful young ladies. This is a story of finding out who you are besides Anthony or James's daughters. Its about falling in love and begin brave enough to follow your hea [...]

Probably a close second to the Gentle Rogue. Love when the story is on a ship headed anywhere. Loved that Judith found a rake like her uncle James and as sweet as her father Anthony. Great combo. Can't wait to see who is paired with Jack aka Jaqueline. This series just gets better and better, but I would love to see more interaction with the other couples maybe some short novellas to keep Johanna's readers on edge.

This is something like the 20th book in the Malory series, which may be a problem for readers who, like me, don't know or care about all the past characters. A good part of the book is spent catching us up with all those characters, and even tho I think I've read some of the books, there were just too many names here to keep up with. So it took me awhile to get into this. Also, towards the end, one of the secondary characters had an adventure that I suspect will lead into the next book in the ser [...]

So this one was leaps and bounds better than Ms. Lindsey's last book. Unfortunately I still feel like the writing is nowhere near the quality I've come to expect. There was a lot of excessive use of phrases from the original Mallory books. I have some mixed feelings about the chemistry between Judith and Nathan. There were times where their relationship really leapt off the page and others that just fell really flat. I had very low expectations of this book since the last several had really been [...]

STORMY PERSUASION by Johanna Lindsey is an exciting Historical Romance. #11 in the "Malory-Anderson Family series, but can be read as a stand alone. I loved this tale of sacrifice, family relationships, pirates, passion, selflessness, romance and the power of love. This is Judith Malory and Nathan Tremayne. Nathan, a smuggler with a noose around his neck, on a convert mission to America, looking for redemption and Judith looking for adventure and love.Malory fans are sure to enjoy Ms. Lindsey's r [...]

Friday I had the pleasure of finally getting around to reading Johanna Lindsey's latest book Stormy Persuasion. I love the Malorys so it was a pleasure getting to see James, Tony, George, Boyd and Katey made appearances in this book. This newest book did not disappoint. it had everything I wanted to read about- adventure, romance, and of course the Malory family. I loved getting a peek into Judith's romance and seeing it bloom in this book. Judith and Nathan had a rocky start but they eventually [...]

I've loved Johanna Lindsey for over half my life and I will continue to love her. Her absolute best novels are her Malory family books which is what this is. I read her parent's love story probably 18 years ago and here Judith is - now 18. Time fliesIt has all the elements that you expect and want in her Malory novels. It's like coming home and it makes me happy. Every page put a smile on my face and I was savoring it knowing it would end too soon. And the one thing that I always look forward to [...]

I love her Malory Series, and I was thrilled that my two favorite rakes were in this one, as dad's this time.d payback can really be awful.James, and Anthony are in store for some real eye opening drama, with their daughters coming out into society season. They not only have to face England, but American society as well. I will not ruin this wonderful book, for all Mallory family fansbut a lot can happen on the ship to America, even if your uncle James is the captain, and your father is on board [...]

What can I say, I love the Malory family and have been following them for many MANY years. :) The fact that this included many scenes with my favorite brothers, Tony and James was an added bonus. Judith and Jack are inseparable, having grown up together, it's no surprise that Judith would want to travel to America with Jack for her coming outTO BE CONTINUED
