This book really should be titled Spinning and Dyeing Art Yarn. It'd save someone like me from sitting there going "this is the most beautifully photographed hideous yarn I've ever seen." Despite the subtitle, there's really nothing about traditional yarn in here. It's very much an overview book with more of an emphasis on inspirational photos and interviews than on actual instruction. Very well put together, with gorgeous pictures. Lots of how-to information (including how to make spindles and two different spinning wheels. Ultimately, though, it's too far above my beginner level. I'll have to re-read when I'm more experienced.
