This was a very sweet romance. I loved the little boy and the animals. It was funny, and very sweet.

You can't miss with a book that stars a 5 year old, nativity animals, humor, and romance all thrown together for a great Christmas read. Christmas time may be the happiest season of all, but Maggie Dulane and her small son Rickey equate it with loss. Maggie’s husband was killed during the holidays two years before, leaving her to raise her little boy on her own. Losing his father during the Christmas season has caused five-year-old Rickey to lose faith in Santa Claus—but the bright little bo [...]

LIGHT READING, HAPPY ENDINGThis was a delightful easy read to pick up and put down during the busy holiday season. I don't often read romances, but make an exception for my guilty pleasure each December . I liked the plot of the story, the characters, and think this story would make a great holiday family film on Hallmark channel.

    Sweet love story

This was an excellent book, I would highly recommend this book to any one who wants an excellent read. I look forward to reading more of this authors work.

Christmas Tear JerkerReally well written story about a little boy who had lost his dad at Christmastime and how God's timeline can differ from your own. I really enjoyed reading this book.

    Fun story. :)

    Joanne

Good read for this time of year. Can relate to the story and it makes for good time to sit and think of the season.

A Christmas BlessingThese are not tears in my eyes, they are camel allergy reactions. A must read for the Christmas season. You might need yours for your allergies!

This was a cute and funny story about a five-year old who had lost his dad two years before to a car accident. This caused the boy to no longer enjoy the Christmas season. However, he instead had been petitioning God for a new dad. How the prayer is answered makes for quite an enjoyable story. I would recommend this story (Kindle) to others.

Ms. Naramore has written a funny heartwarming story about the most magical time of the year. The 5 year old son of a young widow prays for a Daddy for Christmas and instead finds a camel in their backyard. John a divorced policeman comes to the house to read the riot act, to the person who made the crank call to 911, only to find the young widow wasn't fooling. And so begins a special relationship between the mother, her son and the policeman, all looking for something that it seems can only be [...]

This book missed the mark for me.I could maybe stretch this rating to 2.5 stars.I don't like to leave poor reviews but there just wasn't much to this book. The storyline was nice if you lived in the 1950s. The H and h were both weak.Maggie Dulane is a widow with a five-year-old son, Ricky. She lost her husband two years ago around the holidays. She whines throughout most of the book and I didn't tolerate it very well.John, a handsome sweetheart of a cop was a good hero. He did all the right thin [...]

This was an infuriating and pointless read. It started out good - funny and surprising. And then I got to page 5. I don't mind the Christian background to the story. I don't even mind the ex-wife complication. It's a proven method of creating plot conflict. But I object to the convoluted character and plot buildup which drove me to tears. And not the good kind. Don't expect much if you venture into this one because all this book offers is one extremely annoying woman and a man in a constant stat [...]

Well I liked this Christmas read. It was quick, quirky and sweet; a book right up my alley. The characters were well developed and believable. Maggie, a widow, left to raise her son Rickey alone and John, the police officer who rescue them from visiting nativity members were both hurting and neither of them looking for a relationship. Of course Rickey had other ideas. Naramore took a simple plot and wove a sweet romantic christian read. And a little child shall lead them. Enjoy the warm and fuzz [...]

Fun holiday escapismA short romantic story- I loved this book because it did just what it said on the tin (or as the cover lead you to believe!) So completely unbelievable that it was great for escaping for the short time that it takes to read. And no big underlying "preach at you" message either, it's present by reference but if that's not your thing this book won't upset you. Would I rush to buy a paper copy?-no ( I read this book on my Kindle) If I had a paper copy would I pass it on? Definit [...]

Lovely story, thoroughly enjoyed the innocent banter from the little boy Rickey and the extraordinary misadventures that befell him and his mum to make a very unique bringing together of single mum Maggie and her new prospective partner after little Rickey asks not Santa but God for a new daddy for Christmas Mentions of religion brief in the first half and fell in with storyline increased in second half but not enough to withdraw from lovely storyline but something to be aware of if Christian ro [...]

If you want a nice, easy to follow, romance story, this is for you! Maggie is a widow with a young son. She is a great mom and works hard! John is a police officer and he gets a call that there is an unusual animal in the backyard. Thinking it is a crank call, he shows up and finds the animal! Through a series of events, John is called to the house 2 more times for different animals. Gloria is the best friend to Maggie. She gives good advice when needed! I thought this book was very sweet.

I think this was a great cozy read in light of the season. I liked how God was the center of the characters lives through out the book. The only problem I have with this book was the amount of errors in, at least the kindle version. I just wonder if the writer edited the book or had an editor or was she just rushed to get this book published? Other then that it was a great holiday love story.

Wow, I truly loved this sweet heart touching story. Love the cute little boy and of course the sexy police officer John!!! It was fun reading how they met and slow romance between John and Maggie and the father - son relationship too. Love the sweet epilogue Looking forward to read more of this author's books.

I truly loved reading this book. I loved the way the story flowed and how the characters evolved through the book. I laughed so hard through this book at the little five year old boy in it. I kept picturing my almost five year old in the little boy's place. I laughed harder because of it. It definitely is a GREAT read! Will be (and have) recommending to friends.

This is one of the nicest books I've read in a long time. It was entertaining, romantic and completely feel-good. I loved Maggie's son Rickey who believed that it was his prayers that were bringing the troublesome nativity animals to their backyard. The book left me with "the warm fuzzies" for a quite a while afterwards. I'm looking forward to reading more of Rosemarie's books.

This is a sweet little book. The innocence of a child is hard to resist. When you combine that with a sweet mother and a handsome police officerwhat can really go wrong? I was happy to find that contrary to many romance novels which have a police officer as the male lead, this one did NOT need to get shot or nearly killed by a criminal in order for the love story to be complete. Whew!

    Allison Fetch

This book had moments of absolute hilarity - I was laughing out loud! The romance itself was sweet, but there wasn't enough action from the middle of the book onwards. There was so much angst over the relationship but nothing actually happening, so I found myself skimming at times, which is unusual for me. A cute Christmas read that only took a few hours.

This free Christian novella was a quick, cute read. It has all the right elements - animals, including a camel and a donkey; a nasty ex; a lonely but determined young widow; a cute cop and a friendly lady who babysits and makes fudge. The writing is pretty good and the story moved along quickly. It's a nice choice for the Christmas season. Sometimes you get more than you paid for. :)

    Jo

Rickey has prayed to God to bring him a new daddy please - but it seems God has sent him a camel! A very weird start to a book, but it was very readable book and I was interested to see if indeed what I expected to happen actually happened!Worth a read, but not on the "amazing" list

    Pam Jackson-gorsline

Prayers are answeredThis was a fun book regarding RIcky's desire of getting a father. The adults had sadness in their personal lives which were dwelled on too much, in my opinion. To me Ricky was the story. I would recommend this story.

Enjoyable, easy read.Spent a few hours reading a good book about some really nice people. Enjoyed the storyline and the ending. Appreciated the spiritual theme which was quietly thread throughout the story .

    Carol

    I loved this book!

Sweet romance with a touch of suspense. Christian-based but doesn't beat you to death with it.
