The existential wowness in The Wedding Album story has stuck with me for years and years. I really don't understand why this story isn't a best-selling classic studied in high schools and college courses everywhere.Spoiler thoughts:(view spoiler)[How would you respond to the sudden realization that you're a snapshot of the "you" that you were on your wedding day, and not actually a person, in and of yourself? Your consciousness is not the original "you." Your emotions are artificially elated bec [...]

Still his best story, I think. John Clute thinks “It is one of the best SF stories ever written.” Won the 2000 Sturgeon Award. If you haven't read it, well, you should. Many, many reprints: isfdb/cgi-bin/titleAnd so worth the $3 for the ebook.

This is a quick amusing read, but not of the quality and vision of Marusek's excellent Counting Heads and Mind Over Ship.

Even though not a novel, this is by far one of the best sci-fi stories I have ever read and perhaps my favorite of all-time. The Wedding Album shows a world that goes through a technological singularity and does so in a very compelling way. The story is a good length and is well-paced. If you ever wondered what the world would be like if we continued to evolve technologically and at a super fast pace, then this is the story you have been waiting to read.

Human science fiction! Not much emotion, but complexity so interesting, but it doesn't stop soon enough, but imaginative like Poe's Wilson, with more copies, but one can stop with pages to go before one deletes

It's only 60 pages long but it's very dense and rich with clever ideas and events. You'll read it in about two hours but it will definitely stay in your head for much longer.

A nice little read.Don't judge it by it's cover
